We are incredibly proud to announce that MARAZ has officially won an award for best "footwear: fashion shoes" at the inaugural 2026 Africa International Design Awards (AIDA).
In a fierce competition featuring over 300 submissions from 40 different countries, our signature PADAM Bloc Heels were recognized in the prestigious Fashion Design category. Announced on May 7, 2026, this monumental win places our vision of Senegalese luxury footwear squarely on the global map.
When we conceptualized this shoe, we wanted to challenge the status quo of luxury. By blending the raw, ancestral soul of the Sahel with an ultra-modern, minimalist aesthetic, we created a silhouette that commands attention. This award proves that our dedication to high-end Senegalese craftsmanship can stand alongside the biggest names in the industry.
The official awards ceremony is set to take place in Cotonou, Benin, at the end of July 2026. We cannot wait to celebrate this massive milestone for the House of MARAZ alongside the continent's brightest creative minds.
